AERIUM Announces Agreement with the McKay Métis Group
AERIUM Analytics has entered into an opportunity pursuit agreement with McKay Métis Group LP (“MMG”), establishing a framework to explore opportunities in vegetation management and wildlife management using drone-enabled technology. The initial scope of work is within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, with both organizations open to pursuing opportunities beyond the region as opportunities evolve.
Drone-enabled technology sits at the core of this work, allowing vegetation and wildlife management to be carried out with greater precision and efficiency across large and often remote landscapes. Both organizations are aligned in their interest in applying innovative, technology-driven approaches to support environmental stewardship, community priorities, and responsible land management across the region and beyond.
This agreement represents a starting point. Both AERIUM and McKay Métis Group LP are focused on building a strong working relationship centered on identifying and advancing opportunities that create value for the Fort McKay Métis community, the region, and future initiatives beyond. As this work progresses, there is potential to expand both the scope and geographic reach of activities undertaken together.
“We’re excited to be working with a forward-thinking and community-focused group that is actively building new opportunities for their community and the region. Beyond vegetation and wildlife management using drone technology, we’re looking forward to contributing to initiatives that support environmental protection and responsible land use. This is about building something that creates genuine opportunity, both for the Fort McKay Métis community and for AERIUM, with the potential to grow well beyond the region.” — Jordan Cicoria, President & CEO, AERIUM Analytics
“Aerium brings technology, innovation, and access to new sectors that create real opportunity for McKay Métis Group and the community we serve. This partnership is a testament to what’s possible when Indigenous-owned enterprise meets leading-edge innovation.” — Crystal Young, President & CEO, McKay Métis Group LP
