NDVI Vegetation Spectography

Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), is used to determine the existence of live green vegetation in a defined area. It is an extremely useful tool to assess forest resources and crop health for precision farming.

Each plant species has different DNA and differing amounts of Near-Infrared radiation.  The radiation that is reflected can be measured by its output and help identify different plant species within an area, as well as determine the plant health and growth. By using this application, it is possible to view a plot of land with different colours, each representing a different species and the varying health of these species.
